Dyes and Fragrances:
These may cause allergic reactions and skin irritation in some individuals.

Formaldehyde:
Used as a preservative, it may irritate the respiratory system and eyes. Benzene and other solvents: Some washing powders may contain these, which may be harmful to the respiratory system and potentially carcinogenic.

LAS (Linear alkyl-benzen-sulfonates):
Which are detergents that dissolve grease and dirt. These substances are particularly problematic for the aquatic environment because they do not easily biodegrade in environments with low levels of oxygen.

Parfum (Fragrance):
A generic term for scent mixtures; which contains dozens to hundreds of chemicals. May be linked to allergies, skin irritation, headaches, and possible hormone disruption. Ingredients often undisclosed.

Tetrasodium EDTA:
A chelating agent that enhances stability of formulations. Potential skin/eye irritant; environmental concerns due to persistence and water pollution.

Butylphenyl Methylpropional:
A Synthetic fragrance ingredient. Can act as allergens and a potential reproductive toxin; banned in the EU for use in cosmetics since 2022.
